Masonic Register and Symbolical History, 1890
Unlike other Masonic registers featured in this exhibition, this watercolor and pencil image is a draft of a design for, or a copy of, another register. With it, an artist may have sought to articulate his design for a register or, perhaps, the artist sought to make a hand-painted Masonic register for a friend or relation. Intriguingly, though this register was never filled in, stains on the edges of the document suggest it was once framed and displayed.
