Letter from Moses Holbrook to John James Joseph Gourgas. Dated January 25/26, 1827. In this letter, Sovereign Grand Commander Holbrook of the Southern Jurisdiction responds to Gourgas' letter of January 17, 1827, until his responsibilities as a doctor call him away. Continuing his letter on January 26, Holbrook expresses that he is ashamed six weeks have passed since his Supreme Council agreed on the principles of their official reply. Holbrook believes that in one or two days he will be able to get the infirmed members of his Supreme Council together. Afterwards, the official reply will be copied and forwarded. Concludes by thanking Gourgas for his many favors and states that they are collecting money for the purchase of books to supplement the set Gourgas gave them.
