Thus will it ever be with tyrants. Virginia the mighty card. Dated about 1865. This pro-Confederate trading card for the state of Virginia depicts a patriotic shield adorned by Confederate flags and the Virginia state seal. An example of a trading card matching this description was discovered in the boardinghouse of Mary Surratt after the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.
