Letter from Moses Holbrook to John James Joseph Gourgas. Dated June 21, 1830. In this letter, Sovereign Grand Commander Holbrook of the Southern Jurisdiction acknowledges the receipt of Gourgas’ June 3 letter. Holbrook expresses his gratitude in being appointed an Honorary Member of the Supreme Council, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction. He states McDonald still has the documents furnished by Gourgas and faults the climate for their slow return. Comments upon the subjects of nullification and secession and concludes by stating that his reply to Holland is enclosed.
