Pro-Masonic circular. "Solicitation to help the Masonic periodical the Craftsman, edited by E.J. Roberts in Rochester, N.Y. The Craftsman was begun in Feb. 1829 to defend Freemasonry. This circular proposes that loans of $25 - $100 be made available to the newspaper, to be repaid over 3 years or taken in subscriptions. Signed Vincent Mathews and 9 others.
