Letter from Moses Holbrook to John James Joseph Gourgas. Dated November 13, 1827. In this letter, Doctor Holbrook, the Sovereign Grand Commander of the Southern Jurisdiction, reports that he is “quite busy in attending” to sufferers of Charleston’s yellow fever outbreak. He also reports, “Some severe cases of fever yet keep our Sup[reme] Council scattered.” States that he has sent a roll of manuscripts with this letter.
