Letter from John James Joseph Gourgas to Nathan Hammatt Gould, Dated December 11, 1848. In this letter, Sovereign Grand Commander Gourgas answers Gould’s letter of December 5th. Gourgas responds that “you will find herewith an original printed copy of the expulsion” certificate for Joseph Cerneau and two printed circulars denouncing the legality of all Cerneau related documents created by the Supreme Grand Council for the United States of America, their Territories and Dependencies, unless granted by either the Northern or Southern Supreme Councils. Concludes by mentioning Charles Moore, the editor of Freemasons' Monthly Magazine.
