A Knight Templar certificate issued by DeWitt Clinton Commandery (Portsmouth, N.H.) to Robert Herne and dated June 28, 1884. Imprint at bottom of certificate reads, "Published by Clark & Maynard, New York. Mayer, Merkel & Ottmann, Lith. Entered according to act of Congress in the year 1864 by Clark & Maynard, in the Clerk’s Office of the District Court of the United States for the Southern District of New York."
